Movement is life. When we move, we engage with a range of emergent possibilities. Whether working with survivors of trauma, or managing our own stress, distress, busy-ness, and change, movement is a resource for re-calibration and restoration. This 3-hour class is an exploration of movement practices derived from the facilitators Dance/Movement Therapy, Continuum, Sacred Dance and Gyrotonic practices. Working with a continuum of movement from structured to organic, still to dynamic, we will combine scientific underpinnings with extended movement explorations, inquiries, and practices. A brief theoretical introduction to the facilitators Restorative Movement and Polyvagal- informed work will offer context for the practices we play with.

This event is supported by Master of Dance Movement Therapy.
