Dance as Liberation: A Polyvagal-Informed DMT Approach to Trauma

Amber Elizabeth Gray will be teaching a 4-day, in-person seminar as part of Art Therapy Italiana’s new Master Program on Dance/Movement Therapy and Trauma. This immersive course—Dance as Liberation—is open to both participants enrolled in the full Master program and to professionals who wish to attend this seminar only.

Rooted in Amber’s Polyvagal-informed Dance/Movement Therapy approach, this intensive explores dance and movement as pathways to transformation and healing from trauma. Participants will learn body-based stabilization and regulation practices grounded in Embodied Polyvagal Theory, restorative movement, co-regulation, and self-compassion.

This course is ideal for dance/movement therapists, somatic and creative arts therapists, social workers, psychologists, and other helping professionals seeking to deepen their trauma-informed somatic practice.
