Right to Embody: The Science & Spirit of Restorative Movement Psychotherapies
October 25 • 4:00-5:30 PM ET
This “snapshot” presentation of Trauma and Polyvagal-informed Dance, Movement & Rhythm practices will offer participants a moving experience of how our own bodies interoceptive, inner wisdom can provide stabilization, centering, and connection. Stress, distress, and trauma can cause us to “lose our beat.” Our internal landscape sets the tempo of our movement in the world. A 25-minute Core Rhythmicity movement practice will be buoyed by brief theory from Amber’s Polyvagal-informed Somatic and Dance/Movement Therapy framework and clinical approach.
