“A trembling in the bones may carry a more convincing testimony than the dry documented deductions of the brain.” – Llewellyn Powers
The sacrum, described in Hindu as the “Seat of the Soul”, is a keystone structure in our human bodies. From its anatomical function to its place as sacred pyramid and heart shaped seat of creativity, divinity and intelligence, the sacrum is initiator and recipient of wave motion; root and support; tail, portal, inner sanctum, and a source of fluid movement and pleasure. This Continuum & Sacred Dance inspired immersion combines breath, sound and movement to invoke moving through and from the sacrum as a continuum of core strength and serpentine flow.
About the Event:
There is a timely wave of people in Aotearoa/New Zealand finding deep joy and unearthing their fullest potential through conscious movement practices. If you are one of them or are curious to discover why conscious dance is a growing movement, then this gathering is for you. Surrounded by natural beauty you can create your own weekend, choosing from a smorgasbord of cutting edge conscious movement and dance arising from Aotearoa/NZ. Workshops will be taught by a wide range of teachers sharing the best from their respective practices. At night we will come together to celebrate, dance and share. There will also be ample time to connect with others, immerse yourself in the lush surroundings and eat delicious vegetarian/vegan organic meals. A range of accommodation options are available depending on your needs.
New to all this? Here’s what to expect…
A weekend full of soul-stirring music and connections, welcoming rooms full of positive energy and smiling bodies, inspiring movement practitioners sensitively guiding you to shed your shackles and dance freely to your own rhythm. You just need to wear comfy clothing (and your swimmers if you fancy a dip in the lake). Add to that a stunning rural location, shared accommodation and delicious vegetarian/vegan food. Sound good? Newbies will be warmly welcomed!
