Dancing the Wild Home – Baja, Mexico

February 27, 2027 - March 7, 2027

Dancing the Wild Home is partnering with Pure Baja Travels for an immersive experience with the blue whales who frequent the Sea of Cortez and our gray whale kin of San Ignacio Lagoon.

Pure Baja Travels offers an truly ecologically conscious, comfortably simple, close-to-the-earth camp in San Ignacio Lagoon. Each year, the camp is completely dismantled and the land is returned to its natural condition, ensuring a minimal human footprint.

Join internationally renowned movement therapist and artist Amber Gray, José Sánchez, and the Pure Baja team of marine scientists, cultural Wisdom Keepers, and local guides whose knowledge of the ocean dwellers and natural habitats is both extraordinary and heart-full.

In Loreto, we’ll spend time on the water with blue whales, dolphins, and other sea beings, as well as time exploring the town.

Our time in San Ignacio Lagoon includes encounters on the water with the “friendly” gray whales, Continuum and ocean-inspired movement practices suitable for all bodies, reflective writing, and educational sessions. Together, we’ll deepen our understanding of these magnificent beings and explore how we can become more effective stewards of our gray whale kin, in the spirit of restorying their future and our own.
